The STDCOA
"Slovensky Tchouvatch Dog Club Of America" was founded 1982 by Dr. Jozef Schoen
and his wife Maja in MA/USA.
Jozef, of Czech heritage, fall in love with the Slovakian Cuvac and started The Club as the
parent club fgor this breed with a studbook for the United States.
1993Nancy Smith/MA bought the club
Nancy was owner of the Slovensky Cuvac female "Anuska of Goat Hill Farm", and noticed
after a talk with Paul Wilkes, owner of the Kennel of "Goat Hill Farm", that the club for
Slovensky Cuvac was for sale. So she bought the "STDCOA" in 1993.
After founding a new business (http://www.reddoginnandresort.com) she was too busy to
keep the studbook up to date..

Breeding
For the future we are following the breeding rules of AKC and FCI.

X-ray examination can be done with 24 months,(OFA) but no breeding before the X-Ray result is
official. A pre-x-ray with 9-12 months is recommended.
Imported SC very often have had their X-Ray within 12-18 months. (Depent on the country of
birth) We have to check X-Ray again with 24 months to comply with AKC and FCI - OFA rules.
The STDCOA is owner of the studbook for United States for this breed, and we will send you all
the necessary papers you will need for pedigree, registration and tattoo number.
If you choose to breed, the Club will send all necessary papers for your future litter..

We have prepared a booklet with all the forms you will need; just send us an email.

The OFA is the central organization where all X-Rays will be registered  and certified.

Examples of registration papers are pictured below.
